This role is a team lead role within the Chief of Staff (CoS) / Business Unit Manager organization responsible for supporting the Global Spread Products Technology organization.

The position requires an experienced candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities and administrative experience, who can manage and lead a variety of activities geared at helping to support a large global technology organization in financial, staffing, reporting and compliance control.

This includes direct and matrix management of relevant resources in Canada, while building strong ties with the Finance, HR, Risk and Control and Procurement teams.

The individual will be a direct report to the Global CoS / Business Unit Manager for Global Spread Products Technology and will work closely with the rest of the CoS and PMO team and with the technology development managers in their planning, definition and execution of organizational strategy.

Responsibilities :

  • Management of CoS / Business Unit Manager / PMO team members based in Canada
  • Provide oversight of the PMO function for Global Spread Products Technology
  • Manage, supervise and coordinate day-to-day operational activities in the group
  • Work with finance, technology and global development and platform leaders to drive administrative, reporting and quality improvements
  • Responsibility for all Spread Products Tech administrative duties which include but are not limited to financial, staffing, quality, and risk / regulatory matters
  • Reporting and Presentations - coordinate and produce high quality reporting and presentations as needed for internal technology, business stakeholders and external regulators as required
  • Financial control - Understand the complexities of the department financials in order to meet targets and improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Budget process - Work with the team to ensure the annual and monthly budget process cycles are fully supported and targets met
  • Program Management - Coordinate various executive / client / management reporting processes. Ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy throughout the reporting process
  • Staff / Resource Management - Embed processes in the organization that ensure ongoing headcount is always accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, that the on boarding and termination of resources is well controlled
  • Development Quality and Control - Oversee process to ensure our Application Development practice is properly and completely documented.
  • Review / Monitor ICG Tech Controls and put processes in place to remediate and trend positive at all times

  • Application Oversight - Work with the Architecture teams, ensure Roadmap plans are being followed, ensure application inventory is current and reflects accurate components
  • Communication - Provide support on the communication strategy (e.g. town halls, new hire events) for the department
  • People Strategy - Work with the Spread Products Technology management team on sponsoring and supporting actively ICG O and T People Strategy.
  • Encompasses stakeholder manager of vendors and other stakeholders
  • Ensure and monitor timely expenses reimbursement and vendor invoices payment based on
  • Service Level Agreement

  • Ensure and monitor the accuracy and completeness of the services
  • Establish consistent and standardized operational processes
  • Qualifications :

  • 6-10 years experience as Business Manager, Project Manager or PMO Lead
  • Project administration and background in operational areas
  • High quality presentation skills (PowerPoint etc)
  • Experience managing limited resources that are requested to offer outstanding results
  • Experience in finance and processes administration
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management
  • Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management
  • Strategic and goal-oriented thinker
  • Effective interpersonal skills including teamwork and organizational skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Persuasive and passionate communicator
  • Monitoring both scheduled and unscheduled reviews to completion
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s / University degree, Master’s degree preferred
