Rogers is seeking an Enterprise Business NOC Specialist responsible for the Tier 3 Operations support of Rogers EnterpriseNetworks carrying Enterprise Services.

Reporting to the Manager of the Enterprise and Core Data NOC at the RogersPark Brampton Campus, the main job function includes Incident Management of network events affectingRogers customers.

This position requires working in a 7X24 work environment.What you will be doing

  • To provide Tier 3 centralized operations for Rogers Data networks and services supporting residentialand business customers 24X7X365.
  • Manage and drive incidents to resolution working directly with the appropriate internal support groupsand Vendors, ensuring all customer and Network MTTR's and SLA's are met
  • Execute the Network Notification process to ensure communication of all major or significant networkcustomer impacting events.
  • Ensure Change and Incident Management policies are enforced.
  • Monitor change control activities to ensure all planned network events are transparent as possible to theend customer.
  • Requires holistic understanding of the Rogers network and the ability to assess impact to services andcustomers.
  • Act as an interface to Network Operations Groups, implementation, Third Party Carriers and CustomerFacing Groups.
  • Execute the Network Notification process to ensure communication of all Critical, Severe, or Majornetwork customer impacting events.
  • Perform disaster recovery / pre-plan implementation
  • Collaborate with customer-facing, internal support groups and external vendor / supplier.
  • Write and document any department procedures needed for troubleshooting
  • Ensure successful completion of assigned projectsWhat you have
  • Degree in Electronics / Telecommunications or equivalent academic qualification
  • Experience in a Network Management environment is preferred
  • Understanding and experience with DOCSIS 3.1, MPLS, BGP, and Wi-Fi
  • Comprehensive knowledge of servers, DNS, DHCP
  • Extensive knowledge of routing and switching; Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel
  • Understanding of the fault / trouble management, notification and escalation processes is preferred
  • Experience with wireless networks and security is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional Organization skills, PC literate & extensive knowledge of MS Office suite.
