The Interchange Instructor is a personable, energetic, and motivated individual with a passion for adult education, and pursuing new and exciting approaches to support organizational development and change management.

The candidate is motivated to educate and prepare their colleagues to face the changes ahead. Building on their clinical background, they deliver the curriculum, relating educational material back to actual clinical workflows.

The candidate makes every effort to ensure students have comprehended the material, understand how it relates to their day-to-day activities, and ensures any questions are answered and feedback shared.

This is what you will be doing :

Reviews materials available from various vendors and liaises with other organizations to determine what approaches and content have been successful (and likewise, what has been less successful)

Delivers a curriculum based on needs tailored to the roles of the individuals requiring training that considers conventional in-class instruction, micro learnings and videos, and mastery testing to confirm readiness

Develops electronic and printed content (such as workbooks and quick-reference guides) to support both in-class education and use after go-live

Delivers training sessions in-class and supports the use of eLearning as part of the delivery of the curriculum

Reports on staff completion of training, proactively identifying areas that require additional support and strategizing how to remediate

Provides support and supplemental education at go-live, developing materials to address any knowledge or learning gaps and ensuring their colleagues have the information required.

Strategizes and develops supporting materials for staff during go-live and beyond

Engages staff in the development of material post-live to address areas requiring further training and support

This is what you'll need to do it :

Previous hospital experience preferred (in particular, a clinical nursing background)

Solid understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles, tools, and strategies (such as ADDIE)

Experience with e-Learning and screen-recording software (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia) an asset

Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Strong knowledge and practical hands-on experience using Meditech; ability to design, deliver and assess educational programs and develop appropriate supporting materials

Advanced computer skills, and ability to learn and apply new concepts to training efficiently

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations, related both to employment law and areas of functional responsibility

Maintain compliance with required Health & Safety, environmental and other legislative
