Are you a Millwright looking for a new organization that has a very strong Health & Safety program (it's been over 7 years since a lost time accident!)?

We are looking for 1-2 Millwrights to join the team in a steel manufacturing environment with a supervisor who views his role as a coach versus an authority figure.

In this role, you will be inspecting, repairing, installing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Your regular duties will include :

  • working on break down repairs, performing preventative maintenance on large gearboxes
  • troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • aligning gears, bearings and shafts
  • operating simple machine tools to fabricate replacement parts
  • performing rigging, operating overhead cranes
  • sourcing replacement parts if you are unable to fabricate it

  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a metal manufacturing environment
  • must have valid 433A or 426A Millwright license
  • relatively clear criminal record (if charges are older than 7 years, they will likely not look at them)
  • able to work off shifts when required
  • able to work troubleshoot mainly hydraulic equipment on your own
  • able to pass pre-employment physical
  • ideally, you have experience working in a steel manufacturing environment
