About the role

a. Conduct daily visits of asylum seekers at the IRCC temporary accommodation site.

b. Perform general health checks (e.g. temperature check, assess overall well-being).

c. Address any issues of medication and other health needs.

d. Maintain records of daily health checks.

e. Remain onsite for a minimum of 4 hours.

f. Oversee self-administered COVID-19 tests.

Qualifications :

a. Hold a nursing degree such as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma and must be a member in good standing with a provincial college of nurses.

b. Have graduated from a Registered Nursing Program by the Council of the College of Nurses.

c. Have an unrestricted license and be in good standing with the Provincial or Territorial regulatory body in the province / territory of practice.

d. Have a Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) to Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation / Automated External Defibrillator (CPA / AED) Level C.

e. Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience providing nursing services.
