MANDATE ACCURACY

The prevention technician is an important player in the development and implementation of programs, plans and programs. action and health and safety procedures, in accordance with the laws, regulations in force and the policies of the School Board.

It has a role in promoting and supporting the company's health and safety culture. He is also involved in training and coaching staff and managers on aspects of workplace injury prevention.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess risks in the work environment (machine safety, laboratories and workshops, ergonomics of workstations, work at height, psychosocial factors) and participate in the issuance of recommendations.
  • Conduct inspections, investigating and analyzing accidents and monitoring the implementation of identified corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with and compliance with laws, regulations and procedures related to occupational health and safety;
  • Conduct chemical management according to regulations (WHMIS).
  • Advise staff on preventative measures;

  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Environment , occupational health and safety or a diploma or attestation of studies the equivalence of which is recognized by the competent authority.
