Our client, a corrosion and refractory supply, installation and design company is looking to add a HSE Manager to their team.

This person will provide leadership, management and vision for all Western Canada branches (BC, AB and SK) in establishing and monitoring company policies, practices and procedures for risk avoidance and prevention and legal compliance to ensure consistency with core values designed to achieve health, safety and environmental objectives.

Role Requirements :

  • Committed to a "zero incidents" policy
  • Responsible for driving the company to attain the highest level of HSE performance in the industry
  • Supervises the company's emergency maintenance program
  • Maintains necessary training and skills to perform industrial hygiene surveys and evaluations
  • Administers workers compensation claims
  • Supervises HSE record-keeping
  • Keeps all of the safety manuals and documentation up-to-date and ensures compliance
  • Directs the procurement and supervision of qualified temporary Field Safety Representatives as dictated by project requirements
  • Role Qualifications :

  • Must understand risks associated with business activities and evaluate cost and benefit or risk prevention
  • Must have a strong desire to learn
  • Must have a proven track record of reviewing and reworking safety manuals
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have a strong wrk ethic
  • Must have the ability and flexibility to travel
  • CRSP Certified
  • Industry experience in industrial construction
  • WCB / claim management experience
  • 3+ years experience at a leadership level
