Details and Requirements : ABOUT THE JOB
Our client is looking to expand its engineering department with a dynamic and creative candidate to strengthen its R&D team.
Our client has supplied the helicopter industry with products such as skid landing gear kits, bearpaws, external cargo baskets, access steps, transparencies, avionics modifications among many others.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify and peer design drawings for manufacturability and conformance with company specifications
Work closely with the Program Manager and Lead Engineers to lead assigned projects through the defined workflows, taking accountability for schedules, costs and scope.
Release engineering designs, 3D models, drawings and related technical information through SolidWorks EPDM Vault system
Communicate with manufacturing and operations personnel to resolve manufacturing related issues
Share applicable technical knowledge to improve all company Design & Engineering projects and further the knowledge and understanding of mechanical design within the company.
Identify areas where increased training or knowledge would benefit or compliment your expertise and determine a method for gaining this knowledge.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative office atmosphere through shared respect, teamwork and philosophy

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED
Aerospace design experience an asset
3-5 Years of design / manufacturing experience
Proficient with SolidWorks and related modules.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, thermoforming, riveting)
Strong written communication skills in English
Experience with aircraft certification. Transport Canada, FAA, EASA documentation an asset
Able to work with minimal supervision
