You’ll be a technical leader on a team whose mission is to develop, deliver, and support the components and services that power the core visual analytics capabilities of Tableau.

You will work on the core C++ infrastructure that powers Tableau on the desktop and on server. These are the building blocks used by the rest of Tableau’s engineers to produce innovative new analytics features.

We are passionate about satisfying our customer’s needs for a fast and fluid experience with the product. We are also passionate about designing our analytics platform to meet the needs of a modern, scalable, and highly available service platform.

Some of the things you'll be doing include Analyze performance behaviour, design and implement algorithms and features that improve performance, reduce bottlenecks, and optimize resource usage.

Participate in the evolution of the system architecture and build components that plug in to multiple consumers. Lead by example by continually demonstrating top-

tier software engineering practices and principles, and mentor others to maximize their potential. Work closely with leadership to set priorities and direction to ensure the team is having maximal customer impact.

Work directly with customers and support to resolve critical customer performance issues.
