Ref. No. : 19 / CO / 001 Employee Group : Non-Union Status : Full Time Department : Administration Reports to : Chief Executive Officer Core Function : Reporting to the CEO, the VP Operations / CNE provides strategic and operational leadership in the development and delivery of Yee Hong's long-

term care operations, professional practice and quality portfolio. The VP works collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Council and long-

term care and hospice leadership to define and support Yee Hong's long-term care growth and success, while sustaining a culture of excellence in the provision of quality resident and family centred care.

As Chief Nursing Executive, provides leadership to the LTC Centres and accountability for advancing professional practice, application of ethics to clinical practice, quality and risk management in care and service delivery, and interprofessional education.

An inspirational leader, the VP leads and supports four Executive Directors (LTC), Director of Hospice and Director of Quality and Performance;

the number of direct reports will expand with our growth. Qualifications :

Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration or equivalent; Certified Health Executive or equivalent;

completion of a course / certification program on long term care management that is a minimum of 100 hours in duration; the preferred candidate will ideally posses a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario;

Minimum 10 years progressive senior managerial experience in facility based or community based long term care services;

extensive progressive leadership experience in delivery of clinical services, education, research, quality improvement and risk management programs

Demonstrated senior leadership abilities, with management style that is visionary, creative, collaborative and supportive of Yee Hong mission and values

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset*

Outstanding interpersonal, partnership, consensus-building, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

Systems thinker with proven track record of facilitating positive change, and passion for improving resident

outcomes and quality of care; demonstrated ability to innovate with a business mindset

Strong commitment to professional and staff development and the enhancement of academic excellence

Project management skills, coupled with strong organizational, time management and customer service skills

Satisfactory Police Check (with vulnerable sector screen) result Working Conditions :

Light physical activities

Occasional meetings in evenings or weekends
