Job Purpose and Impact
The Crop Inputs Sales Representative will participate in face-to-face and remote selling to our new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels.
We seek a results-oriented professional who will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.
Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration.
Build a business plan for each account developing strong client relationships.
Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of experience in the Canadian grain industry, agricultural production or farm management
Possess a valid Canadian full class 5 driver’s licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Knowledge of grain and crop input operations and products
CCA certification or ability to gain one
Experience using customer relationship management software
