EMCO Corporation, one of Canada’s leading wholesale distribution organizations is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Pacific Region Credit Team based in Surrey.

The team provides sales support to customers and Profit Centers located in BC. We are currently recruiting for an intelligent, enthusiastic, and personable individual to join this valued and talented team.

Duties and Responsibilities :

As a Junior Credit Admin / Accounts Receivable you will be responsible for :

  • Review of assigned A / R aging and identify those that are past credit terms
  • Contacting customers, via phone and / or email, in a professional, sincere but persistent manner to obtain payment while building relationships
  • Processing customer payments (cheques and credit card)
  • Follow up on payment(s) of discrepancies, provide supporting documentation, and mitigate customer collection issues
  • Maintain files and computer documentation thoroughly and accurately
  • Contribute to business development by analyzing processes, proposing new solutions and through ad hoc projects
  • Various duties as required / assigned
  • Qualifications :

  • The successful applicant will have worked in an accounts receivable capacity for approximately 2 or more years
  • Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc )
  • Customer service oriented with good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • This position requires applicant to be fully fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of a second language is considered an asset
  • Enthusiastic, creative, and highly organized
  • Good Memory and high attention to detail while working with numbers, dates, etc.
  • Highly motivated and results driven, ownership of work
  • Works well in and supports a team based environment
  • Post-secondary education in a business / accounting program, preferred
  • Working towards or willing to pursue a Certified Credit Professional Designation
  • Compensation :

    Salary : $42,000-$48,000 per year

    Annual Profit sharing program

    Schedule : Full Time, Monday thru Friday
