Under the supervision of the Teen Programs coordinator, the candidate will be tasked with developing and consolidating teen programs and projects geared towards the teen community at Pointe-Saint-Charles (youth 12-17).

He / She will be expected to conduct individual and group interventions, animate activities, file reports and promote the centre within the community.

There's also the opportunity for the canditate to complete his / her working hours at the Beurling Teen Zone during lunchtime, up to 8 hours per week.


  • Plan, organize and animate sports, cultural and artistic activities.
  • Ensure the safety of the teens, the respect of the code of conduct in Teen Zone and on outings.
  • Conduct individual and group interventions.
  • Act as reliable crisis intervention worker and refer young people to appropriate and relevant services based on their needs.
  • Supervise volunteers and animators during their special activity.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of nightly reports and further follow-ups when necessary.
  • Upkeep of the drop-in center and material.
  • Represent the Teen Zone in certain committees and promote our programs in the community.
  • Adhere to the YMCA’s Child Protection Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy in his post and in the Association and participate in activities / fundraising events.

  • Minimum 2 years of appropriate experience with youth between the ages of 12 17.
  • Have a college or university degree in leisure or social sciences (intervention, social work, psychology, or other related field).
  • Ability to work in both official languages. CPR and First Aid Certified (an asset).
  • Have no criminal record in connection with employment.
