Role Impact :

The Product Manager of Web is responsible for the management and strategic planning of web initiatives. This role will manage and lead the design and implementation of technical developments, campaigns, deployments, analytics and reporting within Cadillac Fairview, as they relate to web initiatives.

This role will also play an important role in defining omnichannel digital experiences from web to app to venue that support innovation at Cadillac Fairview.

This position will take a web leadership role as it relates to Property and National Shopping Centre web experiences such as web lead generation / conversion, mobile / SEO / AODA optimization, and visitor engagement.

This position will also maintain a professional and proactive relationship with retailer clients at national, regional and local levels, as well as understand shopper behaviours and trends in order to provide strategic recommendations that drive adoption and engagement.

This position is an advocate for both the retailer and shopper, achieving business objectives by leading web initiatives across the finish line.

What you will deliver :

Strategy and Management

  • Work with the Director of Digital Product Development to develop the long-term strategy and vision for the web program, including the re-platforming and redesigning of Cadillac Fairview’s core web properties - cadillacfairview.

  • Develop annual product roadmap and objectives for web
  • Develop and implement omnichannel strategies for digital products as part of a product roadmap
  • Lead technical and development meetings with Information Technology, external vendors and stakeholders to prioritize internal development projects and initiatives
  • Assess and evaluate new technology platforms, initiatives, vendors aligned with strategy and company goals
  • Manage and assess appropriate internal and external resources and specialists as required
  • Lead and manage web programs from creation to implementation and analysis of results
  • Research and Industry Relevance

  • Understand new tools and technologies
  • Maintain industry knowledge and expertise by attending conferences, workshops and training sessions to remain current on web trends, technologies, methodologies and industry-specific information
  • Work with Director of Digital Product Development in development and support of new strategies and concepts for maximizing web effectiveness
  • Budgeting

  • Develop and recommend budget and supplier contracts related to projects
  • Manage and monitor national web components of the budget by addressing variances to budget and recommending annual budget allocations
  • Provide quarterly updates and reviews to coordinate with budget timelines and requirements
  • Source vendors and recommend budget allocation for custom web applications at property level
  • Relationship Management

  • Develop collaborative work relationships and set standards around digital analytics programs, such as Adobe Marketing Cloud.
  • Maintain a collaborative work relationship necessary with all levels of property and portfolio management and senior level management in internal groups.

  • Assess and anticipate immediate and longer-term needs of properties to manage their expectations
  • Manage integration of external and internal resources working with IT Application Systems team and external service providers to maintain accuracy and reliability of web systems, programs and technical solutions
  • Manage all contracts with external suppliers and develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with suppliers to manage quality and delivery on specific contracts of service
  • Oversee the selection, negotiation, monitoring and termination process for suppliers ensuring suppliers deliver at an agreed upon service level and standard
  • Analytics

  • Ensure that campaigns and technology deliver positive results, including financial (ROI), customer engagement, and long-term value Identify technical requirements for new / existing products, feature introductions, improvements
  • Develop, analyze and present regular reporting to properties, portfolios and senior management to help evaluate and monitor web objectives
  • Develop best practices and standards (KPIs) for web to maintain and communicate to property and portfolio marketing. Design and create enhancements to improve various program functionalities and overall cost efficiencies.
  • Performance of Duties

  • Lead inter-functional and portfolio-wide projects such as new website(s), web engagement strategies, and new technology solutions for data optimization purposes Conduct business case analysis and assessment to evaluate new initiatives and solutions
  • Own and manage program deliverables, project plans, progress reports, project cost estimates
  • Develop corporate-wide standards and programs in web analytics Develop and ensure adherence to corporate guidelines in social media, analytics, web programs, privacy and data management relating to web in the company
  • Establish information architecture and maintain digital content standards according to SEO best practices and AODA guidelines

  • What you need to succeed :

  • University or College degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Project Management certification an asset
  • Proven experience in supporting multi-platform systems and related applications
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, highly self-motivated
  • Fully Computer Literate with experience in : Web browser and concepts SharePoint MS Office Project Management skills Google Analytics Google Mail Adobe Experience Manager, or other Content Management Systems
  • Basic knowledge of : HTML Access and database systems
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant and progressive work experience with web-related products, technical development and mobile
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive working experience in web applications / platforms or related technology
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience with large, multi-resource projects
  • Budget management and business case development experience
  • Proposal writing and RFP development and management experience
