Join our warm, friendly team that provides accessible, nutritious food to isolated, seniors seeking a sense of community and companionship in a community dining setting.
Share your kitchen and culinary skills with a non-profit agency.
This position is ideal for someone with daytime availability who is looking for experience working in a community-based kitchen.
Hours required : 10 am to 2 : 30 pm.
Must enjoy working in a team environment with other volunteers and staff and socializing with the senior clientele we serve.
Light food preparation for luncheons, sandwich and salad making are often required. Volunteers assist with food preparation, room set-up, serving meals, and clean-up.
Enjoy socializing and dining with isolated seniors! If you have a specialty skill we would love to hear from you!
Additional Information :
An interview and an application form needs to be completed prior to volunteering. An overview of the agency and a description of your role will be provided.
On going support provided by the Community Dining Coordinator.
