VOLUNTEER POSITION

The Queen's Equity Conference strives to educate members of the Queen's and Kingston communities on issues of social justice, tolerance, respect, and the future of creating a safer and more accountable social climate.

Keynote speakers, student speeches, and a variety of intriguing and interactive activities allow the delegates to listen, network, and discuss in order to collaboratively broaden their perspectives about social issues facing our community, and more broadly our world.

The Queen's Equity Conference strives to increase one's understanding of relevant issues of equity that face our world today, and how to take action in order to create a more accountable and respectful future climate.

Applications have been extended and will be available until September 17th at 4 : 00 pm.

An approximately 8-month term from September 2020 to April 2021 with a time commitment of 2-3 hours per week

Time Commitment and Responsibilities

  • Act as primary contact for all speakers
  • Plan panel themes and keynote topics
  • Contact and arrange the attendance of speakers for the panels and keynotes
  • Manage the relationship between QEC and the speakers leading up to the conference and ensure a positive experience during the conference
  • Collaborate with Logistics Coordinators to plan the logistics for all speaking events
