We are looking for an upbeat and proactive Resource Specialist for our Edmonton branch to efficiently manage our service delivery requests through effective identification, deployment and assignment of IT consultants! Utilizing various resourcing tools, you will proactively assign and manage availability of IT professionals for technical projects.

A Day in the Life :

  • Assign and deploy consultants to both pre-sales and delivery engagements
  • Timely response and completion of all staffing requests from Account Managers, Managers, and the Resource Management team
  • Proactive management of staff availability and utilization, including clear and concise communication to all parties involved
  • Presentation to new staff on Resource Management practices
  • Foster strong relationships with service delivery team members
  • Advise project teams in order to best match employee strengths and development interests to projects
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding the scheduling of our consultants as well as their technical skills and abilities
  • Develop an understanding of consultants’ career progression and existing skills
  • Collaborate with other branches to fulfill cross branch requests
  • Ensure employee profiles, skills and certifications are up to date
  • Report on utilization, financial forecasting, scheduling and others
  • Manage and set up job codes using Project Service Automation tool
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relations with consultants, management, sales team and Resource Specialists from other branches
  • What You Bring :

  • 2+ years in a professional services environment in a resourcing, recruiting, project management or coordinator role
  • Knowledge of IT skill sets
  • Strategic and innovative thinker, with strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and upbeat demeanor
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the initiative to solve problems and anticipate the next steps
  • Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Ability to define a problem, look at it from different perspectives and consider alternative solutions before formulating a plan to resolve it
  • Ability to quickly grasp and analyze complex issues, diagnose multi-dimensional problems and devise insightful / appropriate responses or strategies to address them
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks concurrently, set priorities, focus on detail / quality and meet deadlines
  • Work well under pressure and able to manage competing priorities
  • Critical thinker, with the ability to proactively understand requirements and the overall solution
  • What Makes You Extra Awesome :

  • Experience in the IT industry, in any capacity
  • Post-secondary education in Business is preferred but not required
