Position Type : Date Posted : Location : Date Available : South East Cornerstone Public School Division is seeking a Consultant of Elementary Curriculum.

This position will be representing the East service area. Term : 1.0 FTE Continuing with consultant duties commencing at the beginning of the 2019-

2020 school year for a two (2) year term. Specific Accountabilities Would Be (but are not limited to) : By remaining current in effective practices, provide leadership in reviewing, assessing and improving the education programs within a family of schools and the school division.

Ensure the actualization of Saskatchewan’s core curriculum through coaching, consulting and collaborating. Support schools in reviewing data and responding to the needs of the students.

Provide open and ongoing communication with relevant personnel concerning students, staff, curriculum or other pertinent matters.

Provide support for the actualization of school improvement plans. Make recommendations to the appropriate School Division personnel regarding expenditures, facilities, equipment, resources, programming and other items considered necessary for success of students.

Uphold and support Board goals, policies and administrative procedures Support teachers in setting and actualizing goals to improve student learning.

To provide curriculum, planning instructional and assessment support to teachers. Assist in assessing needs and planning professional development for teachers and schools.

Conduct oneself in a manner appropriate to an educational institution that provides services to children. To engage in lifelong learning with respect to training, professional development and courses of study.

To perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Early Learning. Typically these skills will be achieved through having : Valid driver's license.

A Bachelor of Education degree with at least five years of teaching experience. Valid Saskatchewan Professional "A" teaching certificate.

Possession of a Master’s Degree in Education. Possess a strong knowledge of current educational trends and best practices, and a proven track record of success as an elementary educator.

Possess a strong knowledge of and ability to differentiate the learning environment, planning, instruction, and assessment according to the needs of students.

Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone Public School Division.

Salary & Benefits : Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement and Locally Negotiated Teacher Agreement.
