As a detail oriented and dynamic professional, you will be responsible for undertaking the tasks of all spare parts classifications in order to ensure compliance with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requirements and well as auditing of the same.
Reporting into the Director, Logistics, you will be solely responsible to support the temporary import of vehicles, for all Brands, to ensure proper tracking of VINs as well as ensuring that all bonds are cancelled upon export back to origin.
Furthermore, you will also be responsible for all Statistics Canada Retail Sales Reporting and Export / Import price reporting on behalf of Volkswagen Group Canada (VGCA).
Classification of all HS Codes for all parts entering the country
Audit the HS Code (parts) database to ensure accuracy and therefore alleviating potential non-compliance risk
Analyze the potential for flagging parts for possible duty relief
Manage and maintain all E29B documents for the temporary import of vehicles for all Brands
Complete the following Stats Canada reports :
Retail Sales report - monthly
Export / Import price report monthly
Act as the back-up for the Customs Specialist
Other related duties as required
What we’re asking for :
College or University degree in related field
3+ years of relevant experience working for an importer or at a Customs Broker office
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation an asset
Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
Ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically, and professionally in person, over the telephone and via e-mail
Intermediate proficiency in Excel; Access proficiency an asset
SAP material knowledge
