The Opportunity

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Clerk will provide support from an administrative perspective to the Logistics Department.

The ideal candidate will be able to organize, document and audit procedures and information from various vendors and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator team to coordinate outbound LTL, TL and expedited shipments of finished goods using approved carriers
  • Use Excel, Google Sheets and other applications, to manage KPIs and update databases
  • Track shipments and carrier performance
  • Coordinate with carriers for cost adjustments for late shipments
  • Prepare reporting for weekly review by Logistics Manager and Director
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate inter-departmental processes
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience and Background

  • Relevant work experience in a transportation / shipping environment is an asset
  • Finance or accounting experience is an asset
  • Ability to multitask while sustaining a high level of service expectation
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written

    This is a full-time position based out of Smiths Falls.
