Description

Arcadis is seeking an to join our team in Ontario. The RVSOP QP Specialist works under the direction of the ACI Program Manager for the Port Hope Area Initiative.

The RVSOP QP Specialist will oversee the field RAD team(s) and track the collection and delivery of data / information required for the RVSOP activities for each Task Order.

In conjunction with the RAD team, the RVSOP QP Specialist is responsible for reviewing, revising and implementing the RVSOP process used by Arcadis and the client.

The RVSOP QP Specialist interfaces with the ACI Project Managers and assists with communications with CNL RVSOP Specialist to ensure consistent, focused and defensible application of the RVSOP process from planning, implementation, review and acceptance of final RVSOP reports are achieved.

The RVSOP QP Specialist will coordinate verification sampling for laboratory analyses and closure reporting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Under general direction of ACI Program Manager, lead the implementation of Remedial Verification Standard Operating Procedure (RVSOP) process on all remediation Task Orders that ACI has been contracted to execute.
  • Work closely with project field RAD teams and implement and execute the RVSOP process;
  • Ensure that all Task Orders under ACI for the PHAI are compliant with the requirements of the RVSOP processes, including soil remediation, surface contaminated objects, verification of clean sites, and verification of Construction Monitoring Program (CMP) monitored excavations, via regular workplace inspections, measurements, monitoring, sample collection and data verification;
  • Organize, plan and advise Project Managers and Program Manager of ongoing RVSOP deliverables in progress by each Task Order;
  • Review comment from CNL and address these comments to achieve final RVSOP reports;
  • Provide coaching and guidance on proper implementation of the RVSOP process;
  • Maintain data warehouse for all PHAI RVSOP data;
  • Coordinate with RAD teams on each task order to ensure that each project is staffed accordingly with enough RAD technicians.
  • Maintain and regularly update a master schedule of all active and planned RVSOP scope and progress;
  • Development of a weekly RVSOP progress report for project managers and program manager;
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • P.Eng or PGO QP credentials and / or background, with minimum fifteen (15) years senior project management experience in environmental remediation including Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, soil and groundwater remediation;
  • Thorough knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must possess a high sense of individual responsibility and be self-motivated;
  • Must be willing to undertake and successfully complete formal and on-the-job training, in order to satisfy the requirements for duty as the RV Lead;
  • The ability to review and interpret radiological data and advise the project teams on appropriate response actions to the analytical data;
  • Able to work independently to perform, track, and communicate scheduling and planning activities;
  • Work with RAD teams to meet RVSOP requirements and deadlines;
  • Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to get work done safely, efficiently and in compliance with approved schedules, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Current and valid QP designation, recognized by the MECP;
  • Understanding of Environmental Risk Assessment and Record of Site Condition practices;
  • Familiarity with the PHAI RVSOP Procedures;
  • Program and project management experience;
  • Professional designation through the PEO or PGO;
  • Performance, review and interpretation of gamma and alpha / beta contamination survey results.
  • Key Qualifications :

  • P.Eng or PGO QP credentials and / or background, with minimum eight (8) years project management experience in environmental remediation including Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, soil and groundwater remediation;
  • Thorough knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
