We’re looking for a well-rounded and experienced engineer for our Asset Performance Team to lead and drive Asset Performance strategies through the advancement of analytics, custom reporting and compiling data from different sources.
As ENMAX’s Senior Asset Analyst Engineer, you will take a long-term, strategic view of data and analytics to assist / support capital and maintenance strategies.
You will also be responsible for developing the plan and implementation of data improvements and analytics to support asset strategies.
Major Responsibilities :
Provide leadership to Asset Performance strategies through analytics and data reporting
Develop and influence Asset Performance and other working groups through the creation of custom dashboards
Prepare and provide presentations based on dashboard utilization customized to the audience
Develop Asset failure curves using existing failure information and develop roadmap for determining asset failure probability
Develop Asset Management strategies and improvement opportunities through data analytics
Develop analytical decision making tools around maintenance and capital strategies which impact reliability, safety, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
Perform data interpretations and analysis and propose supporting evidence for asset management strategies
Interpret and utilize vast amounts of data from various sources
Provide direction and mentorship to more junior team members
Education Required :
University degree in a related field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or other quantitative fields
Qualifications & Experience :
8+ years of progression advanced experience in an analytical role
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and report generation
Advanced knowledge in Python
Knowledge in Microsoft PowerBI and IBM Maximo
Experience with gathering business requirements, perform system and data analysis and the ability to document the requirements and data / system flow
Experience with solution architecture and business process redesign
Experience performing highly complex analysis and providing recommendation on the findings
DAX knowledge is considered an asset
Experience with Adaptive Insights is considered an asset
