In this engaging new opportunity you will support the creation of the regional production plan by performing mid and long term Extraction production planning.
You will use your expertise to :
Develop production profiles for reforecasts, budgets, and long range planning
Analyze production impacts for front end development projects
Facilitate alignment of Mine, Extraction, and Tailings business planning
Collect and translate planning assumptions from stakeholders including the business unit (area ACFTs) and Regional Development
Maintain and update Extraction production models
Capture historical data for comparison between actual production versus planned capability
Challenge planning assumptions to ensure planned capability reflects the process and track maintenance data to determine if assumptions are accurate
We’d like to review your application if you have
Must-haves (minimum requirements) :
4 years of related experience
A chemical or mechanical engineering degree or another relevant technical degree
Exceptional Excel skills, with the ability to pull Interplant / PI data
Strong analytical ability including data analysis
Superior written and oral communication skills

Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
A continuous improvement mindset and a dedication to learning new things
Preference for :
Strong Preference for working knowledge of Primary and Secondary Extraction processes and equipment
An understanding of integrated operating areas (Upgrading, Mining, Tailings, In Situ)
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information :
You will work out of our Base Plant facility in , Alberta or our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
