ABB is seeking a Global Product Manager : Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions, For our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, understanding the full potential of our patented LGR-ICOS laser-based technology and proprietary software, and the trends in our markets is highly rewarding.

You will drive long-term profitable growth of ABB’s new, comprehensive and leading-edge Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions globally within the Industrial Automation Measurement and Analytics Business Line.
Reporting to the Global Product Line Manager of Laser Analyzers, you will further develop and manage the recently developed Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions through all life-cycle phases, according to market needs and Product Group strategy and targets.
Leading global market intelligence analysis, defining market segmentation and identifying potential portfolio gaps, both against the competition and for new market opportunities.
Developing a Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions business plan that drives and supports long-term profitable growth, tracking performance metrics and implementing appropriate pricing and cost measures for maximum and sustained profitability.
Continuously developing product management processes and tools, developing sales and tendering tools to support the Sales organization and initiating the creation of external and internal product training modules and programs.
Collaborating with global Marketing and Sales teams to define marketing plans, including modern marketing communication activities, training activities and sales initiatives.
Meeting customers to understand their needs, challenge their views on the market direction, and support sales when required through sales calls, presentations, customer seminars, etc.
Driving profitability and life cycle of Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions by defining global pricing strategies and managing global frame agreements.
Initiating and driving cross-functional and cross-organization new, highly-differentiated product and solutions introduction, monitoring and influencing the development of all standards and market trends and providing input to Research & Development (R&D) for patent-screening processes and intellectual property rights protection.
Defining the Natural Gas Leak Detection Solutions customer value proposition per segment and channel, ensuring clear communication to channels and users and delivering clear positioning within the portfolio.
Driving the annual business planning process, facilitating agreements between sales demand and supply and monitoring global sales target fulfilment and tender volumes as well as acting as appropriate.
Developing a strong and experienced global team, inspiring and motivating employees to achieve stretch targets.

Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors' degree and 8 years' combination experience in product management and / or analytical products or systems
A Master’s Degree in required field Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
A PhD / Doctorate in required field Credit given for 3 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's or PhD degree in engineering or quantitative science
8 + years' of experience in Product Management or Product Development, working as Product Manager or development scientist / engineer on analytical products and systems.
Sound knowledge of gas measurement systems and the natural gas (upstream, midstream, downstream) market.
Leadership experience in sales, engineering and operational projects.
Experience in strategic and operational planning, with profit and loss responsibility, in a multinational organization.
Ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends.
Strong, well-developed verbal communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills.
