Job Requirements

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support water resources and infrastructure projects that span multiple offices.

You will deliver innovative solutions to complex projects and be challenged to deliver high quality products to our valued clients.

Your responsibilities would include the following :

  • Constructing and analyzing stormwater, sanitary and water distribution models.
  • Statistical analysis of hydrologic and hydrometric data sets.
  • Spatial analysis of GIS datasets
  • Design of hydraulic structures including; outfalls, drop structures, diversion and combination manholes.
  • Engineering of river flood control systems including : dykes, erosion protection and bank restoration.
  • Authoring technical reports, proposals and design briefs which span multiple disciplines.
  • Ensuring that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • What you will bring to the table :

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
  • Eligibility for provincial licensing as an engineer in Alberta.
  • Experience engineering and managing linear infrastructure, stormwater and hydraulic projects.
  • Experience using water management software such as SWMM, MIKE or Infoworks.
  • Experience in data modeling, statistics and database languages such as SQL, R or Python.
  • Experience in GIS and spatial analysis software such as Manifold, ESRI or QGIS.
  • Ability to work in both team environments and independently
  • Highly self motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
