Working with our client, a global retailer with a world recognized brand, OfficeTeam is seeking a Buyer, Manager to join their client’s rapidly growing team.
As the Buyer, Manager you will be an organized, motivated and driven individual who will analyze sale change trends, set season buying plans, price bands as well as make product sale forecasts.
This opportunity is full-time position based in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The responsibilities of this Buyer, Manager role will include but not be limited to the following :
Create corresponding demand plans and follow through to ensure that best-selling products, new products, seasonal and regular products are met, and stock turnover term control.
Evaluate sales change trends and changing factors through product sales data
Prepare product promotion standards, including but not limited to new product, best-selling product creation, temporary and slow-selling product promotions to promote product sales and turnover.
Accountable for the pricing and periodic review of categories of goods, reviewing and maintaining gross profit margins through regular shop inspections and market surveys to ensure market competitiveness of product pricing
Maintain professional and positive interaction between vendors, wholesalers, and our retail accounts
Deliver constant communication with Merchandising, Demand and Sales departments to develop, lead and execute short and long-term purchasing strategies
3+ years of Supply Chain Experience
2+ years of experience in CPG ideally purchasing household goods, toiletries, cosmetics or toys
Import and Export international trading experience
Experience working with a high volume of SKU’s
Strong working knowledge with an ERP system
Advances Excel skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborating in a team environment
Innovative and creative with the ability to think outside the box
SAP experience is an asset
