Fraser Health has exciting opportunities to work casual as a Respiratory Therapist in Pulmonary / Diagnostic at Royal Columbian Hospital located in New Westminster, British Columbia.

In this position you will have the opportunity to :

  • Perform pulmonary function procedures including spirometry, lung volume determination, diffusion capacity, inhalation challenges, and arterial blood gas punctures.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary exercise studies.
  • Assists in the monitoring of pulmonary function and stress testing equipment, conducts calibration and quality control checks according to standards, and arranges maintenance and repair as required.

    Provides clinical instruction to Cariboo College Respiratory Therapy students during Pulmonary Function Lab rotations, as required.

    To join our team, you :

  • Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy and successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam.
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Level C.
  • One year's recent related experience in an accredited level three pulmonary function lab.
