Thompson Rivers University, School of Nursing, requires creative committed educators to join a dynamic faculty focused on preparing nurses for diverse practice settings.

The BScN program anticipates having several sessional faculty positions available for its winter 2020 semester starting January 2 to April 17, 2020.

The hours and terms of the contract will be negotiated based on qualifications, availability and program needs.


  • Master’s Degree required
  • Minimum of one nursing degree required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
  • Experience in nursing education
  • Experience using teaching and learning technologies
  • Experience using a learning management system
  • Experience preparing evaluative tools and grading
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students in a theory course (preferred)
  • Three (3) years or equivalent hours of clinical practice experience in a relevant field of nursing
  • Exemplary communication skills (written, oral and electronic)
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system
  • Practicing RN membership with BCCNP
