On behalf of our Client, we are pleased to be conducting a search for a General / Business Accountant.
Oversee the responsibilities for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Bookkeeping, Banking, and Payroll.
May supervise a more junior Bookkeeper
Preparation of monthly and year-end balance sheets, profit and loss statement and internal financial package including related variance and account analysis, sales dashboards, reporting and expense statements.
Ensure costs are accurately reflected in each business segment and overhead department costs are being allocated appropriately.
Reconcile costs and sales G / L accounts.
Maintain month end binder and year end audit working paper files.
Administer year end closing in conjunction with external accounting firm.
Follow-up with the business units to ensure collections and determine adequacy of the allowance for doubtful accounts.
Maintain Accounts Payable Authority levels /
Participate in sales commission reviews.
Assist with any other short-term temporary projects as assigned.
Post secondary education in Accounting (designation not necessarily).
5 years + of accounting experience in a stand alone or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
Demonstrated initiative, good judgement, integrity and stability in executing duties.
