What you’ll do

The Technology Resiliency Analyst is responsible for the development and implementation of an Enterprise Disaster Recovery strategy.

The role will be primarily accountable for supporting the disaster recovery & planning process, application recovery process, data center recovery and all other IT related disaster recovery needs.

In addition, during a disaster this individual is responsible for the execution of the disaster recovery plan. This position is responsible for planning to provide the highest level of resiliency possible and coordinating with the appropriate teams across the enterprise.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Develops and maintains the disaster recovery plans for the Corporation and tests those plans while working with Corporate and site IT teams.
  • Supports the IT SMEs in disaster recovery strategy sessions to determine and design recovery scenarios, recovery service level agreements and testing of the disaster recovery process.
  • Provides best practice knowledge through the application of research and makes recommendations to IT leadership for implementation of those best practices.
  • Ensures that IT disaster recovery plans are tested on a regular basis and monitors results of scheduled DR tests, reports results of those tests to management, and recommends changes to improve test results.
  • Performs periodic gap analysis to ensure disaster recovery plans are acceptable for business-critical infrastructure and applications.

  • What you bring :

  • A university degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4+ years of experience in disaster recovery planning disaster recovery in a retail or bank environment preferred
  • BCI and or DRI certification required or willing to obtain within the first year of employment
  • Project planning experience an asset
  • Knowledge with Cybersecurity, ransomwear scenario planning an asset
  • Knowledge in Cloud computing solutions an asset
  • Previous experience in Technology Operations, architecture or application support preferred
  • Proficient knowledge in emergency response and operations as well as crisis communications
  • Proficient knowledge of identifying technology-related risks, developing mitigation steps
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills to optimize processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Working experience using MS Office
  • Experience working on IT technical project
