Description

Primarily responsible for supporting the Enterprise IT Client experience and working with various Management, Support, Operations, Engineering, and Applications teams, as well as participating in the architectural process for all client-impacting technologies.

  • Service Owner for local instance of Managed Workplace Service (60%-75%)
  • o Provides and manages support within the context of IT Service Management and ITIL processes.

    o Ensures proper implementation and support for enterprise hardware and software, according to standards, plans, and service designs.

    o Responsible to maintain operations, security, compliance, and customer satisfaction

    o Helps to identify solutions to maximize efficiency, solve operational problems, and minimize operational costs.

    o Serves as a 2nd level escalation point for complex technical support issues.

    o Assists architecture teams in the development and refinement of future client technology solutions.

    o Collaborates with Infrastructure Services, IT Service Desk, and internal customers on a Divisional and Corporate level to ensure efficient operation of Continental client devices.

  • Service Owner for local instance of Location Basic Infrastructure Service (15%-25%)
  • o Provides and manages support within the context of IT Service Management and ITIL processes.

    o Participates with teams that provide Supporting Services for Servers, Networks, Security, Infrastructure, Applications, and Service Delivery as hands-on smart hands to support standard operating environments and approved hardware and / or software for a large manufacturing enterprise.

    o Manages third party services that support customer-facing services and supporting services.

  • Service Owner for local instance of Location Specific Application Service (0%-25%)
  • o Provides and manages support within the context of IT Service Management and ITIL processes.

    o Provides technical support to appropriate personnel on complex system administration activities for applications used exclusively at local site, if any.

  • Provides technical support to appropriate personnel on complex system administration activities.
  • Researches current system technology in order to maintain expertise.
  • May participate in on-call service rotation, and may provide 24 x 7 production support on a rotating basis, as part of the global or regional support team.
  • Performs occasional night / weekend work as necessary. Qualifications Miinimum of college degree in computer science

    Minimum of three years’ experience in a technical support role working independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrated ability to learn and master new technologies, methods, and standards, within a relatively short timeframe.

    Preferred criteria :

  • Microsoft Certifications (MCITP, MCP)
  • ITIL Certifications (ITIL Foundations V3)
  • Hardware vendor certifications Lenovo, HP, Dell, IBM
