Reporting to the Senior Manager(s), Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for managing a team of TA Consultants, supporting day-
to-day operational activities, partnering and working closely with key stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Business Leaders etc.
across North America and supporting specific strategies that enable attraction and successful hiring across Stantec. In addition, you will lead and support TA projects that will enable our people to optimize work efforts, improve delivery consistency and continue to drive team engagement within an inspired one team’ culture.
Your Key Responsibilities
Proactively collaborate with TA Consultants and Business Leaders alike, to design and implement sourcing strategies supporting targeted candidate pipelining and pooling.
Effectively maintain strong working relationships with peers, direct reports and internal clients / stakeholders.
Relentlessly pursue the development of creative engagement strategies to attract and acquire high quality talent.
Actively champion and pursue process re-engineering initiatives to gain operational efficiencies & competitive advantage.
Conduct 1 : 1 meeting(s) with your direct reports with a focus on performance management, development and engagement.
Create opportunities for cross-pollination of knowledge transfer and working as one team’.
Effectively manage any escalation(s) within your assigned BOU’s to resolution.
Optimize all ATS and talent acquisition tools, systems, and resources.
Work with Sr. Managers, Recruitment Operations to conduct daily capacity / workload scans and assessments.
Support recruitment marketing initiatives such as event / social media / campus strategy.
Actively collaborate with the Manager, Sourcing and Research to develop deep market expertise in targeted areas of focus, build communities of practice, and create candidate identification & warming strategies to support company-
wide growth initiatives.
Work with the Sourcing and Research Team Lead to leverage predictive analytics for purposes of candidate pipelining, as well as leverage all relevant strategic inputs (e.
g. Alumni, Global Mobility, Inclusion & Diversity etc.)
Analyze, consult and provide guidance to the business on competitor hiring practices, market availability of skills sets and current market data.
Provide weekly status updates to the HR Business Partners, as well as address any issues that could potentially jeopardize agreed upon recruitment Service Level Partnerships.
Maintain operational effectiveness by providing guidance to Talent Acquisition Consultants regarding relevant changes to employment policies, practices and procedures.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Strong intellectual capacity - continuous learner, highly analytical, with good conceptual thinking skills and can translate data into creative recruitment solutions.
Ability to flex different leadership styles against environmental requirements.
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills - able to communicate difficult and complex matters in a candid, transparent manner.
Self-motivated and well-organized, with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Ability to grasp concepts quickly, strong team orientation, experience with working in a largely remote team environment.
Experience working within the A&E, or professional services environment preferred.
Designations such as RPR, PHR, CHRP, AIRS and / or LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter are an asset.
Education and Experience
5-7 years working as a Talent Acquisition people manager and / or team lead.
7-10 years of recruitment experience in corporate or agency environment (both preferred).
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is ideal but not required.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.Travel may be required.
