OVERVIEW

The Brand Development Manager will be responsible to develop the strategies, marketing plans & implementation to grow brand demand / SOM.

Evaluate results and adjust to accelerate growth.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Brand Strategy Develop the annual marketing plans aligned with corporate and consumer strategy Refine product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market Work with Ad.
  • Agency on the brand creative strategy and digital executions Identify and work with external partners on sponsorship and event activations as part of overall marketing strategy.

  • Digital Marketing Provide digital oversight for the brand to be aligned to the plan and target market Work closely with Corporate Digital Team to maintain consistencies of process
  • Data and Insights Utilize category management data and insights as foundation to provide recommendations for Sales Market intelligence Continuously seek for new trends and competitive information that could potentially become an opportunity or lead for the Sales team Analyse research data to develop strategies to support sales team initiatives
  • Sales enablement communicate the value proposition of the products and develop impactful sales tools
  • PR and media Play an active role in support of Canadian opportunities Work closely with Legal and Corporate communications on development and approvals
  • Innovation Manage the cross-functional implementation of new product launch plans Work with NPD / Innovation team on development or implementation of new projects Supports the launch of new products under the brand (packaging, artwork design, selling materials, trade presentations and POP materials)
  • Budget Develop budget proposals to support annual marketing plan Develop strategies to maximize the marketing budget w.
  • analytics Maintain budget and accruals on a monthly reporting basis

  • Management Manage direct reports Develop and coach for growth Complete annual review process milestones
  • ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

  • Passionate individual, relentless with building brands
  • Experience working in Marketing in both B2C and B2B channels in Canada
  • Experience working with Category management
  • Strategic and analytical
  • Strong interpersonal & effective communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft (Outlook, Power Point, Excel & Word)
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and priorities
  • Creative approach to problem solving development
  • Experience in event sponsorship, tradeshows and management
  • Edge Well organized, ambitious, courageous, flexible but decisive, with the ability to communicate and effectively influence others.
  • Energy High positive energy to take on continuous business challenges in a fast-paced environment. Persistence to drive to solutions despite obstacles and / or competing priorities.

  • Bilingual would be an asset
  • Experience at supervising and managing direct reports
  • WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 yrs. experience in Brand Management / Marketing
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends at events
  • Must be able to travel 35%
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor in Business Administration required (major in Marketing preferred)
  • MBA preferred, not required
