Our client is a hotel industry expert in design, procurement, production and logistics and they create beautiful rooms and spaces for some of the best known hotels in North America.

They are seeking an Account Manager who is strong at building relationships, willing to learn and confident in their ability to apply their learnings.

Aside from the job responsibilities, the focus is more on attitude and culture value-add than experience. There are a lot of nitty gritty details and industry specific lingo you will need to get familiar with and the sales cycles are long and project sizes can be quite large and complex, so building a relationship of trust with a consultative approach is key.

As an Account Manager, you will conduct business to business sales with independent and franchise hotel owners. Account Managers are responsible for calling warm and cold leads, and closing deals ranging from $50,000 - $2,000,000.

Account Managers are typically assigned a hotel brand and target their efforts and focus accordingly.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Making roughly 30+ calls per day to sell a premium solution in deals ranging from $50,000 - $2,000,000
  • Achievement of individual targets on a quarterly basis, as determined in tandem with Sales leadership
  • Travel to client sites, conferences and tradeshows may be required throughout the year
  • Develop proposals for potential and existing clients
  • Work in tandem with internal departments to develop quotes for clients
  • Develop and Manage key relationships
  • Work internally with Purchasing, Project Mangers, and Design teams to ensure on time and accurate delivery of products and services to clients
  • Experience & Educational Requirements :

  • 1- 3 years of experience with B2B or B2C Sales
  • Proven track record with selling products
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an aptitude to learn other programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Driven, self-starting attitude with a willingness to learn
