The SUG Field Coordinator job, based in Northern Alberta, is a contract position with our client supporting a major fall Turnaround event.

To be considered for the SUG Field Coordinator role, successful candidates will have a trade background ideally as a Pipefitter or Boilermaker along with relevant TA experience as a Client representative Coordinator.

This is a rotational FIFO role with travel provided from Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta hubs only.

Responsibilities of the Turnaround Mechanical Coordinator job include :

  • Ensure safe and efficient execution of the work scope identified in your area while working safely and efficiently and within the time allotted
  • Liaise with those whom have ability to influence the outcome either through personnel, processes, or procedures
  • During Strategy Phase, review and gain clarity on the premise document for the Turnaround as well as establish key KPIs
  • Partner with Operations during Planning Phase while reviewing for understanding all job packages associated with your assigned area
  • Liase with other Coordinators to ensure the services provided are fit for purpose and also timed to avoid any impact to schedule
  • Assist in developing the overall Turnaround schedule and determine sequence of events
  • Provide step listings estimation of hours
  • Drive safety and productivity performance during Execution Phase
  • Participate in Safety walk downs, safety meetings, and field walk downs to identify hazards
  • Ensure adherence to any added work, found work, scope change processes
  • Close-out Phase activities including procdure / document updates, close-out reporting, written personnel evaluations
  • Other duties as required
  • Qualifications :

  • Trade or Engineering background with 15+ years’ experience (Pipefitter and Boilermaker are most preferred or Mechanical Engineer)
  • Experience must include 5+ years as a Client representative Coordinator
  • Must have significant Turnaround event experience through all phases (Strategy, Planning, Execution, and Close-out)
  • Must be capable to provide step listings estimation of hours
  • Experienced with Primavera scheduling tool and logic / sequence
  • Technical background on Upgraders, Exchangers, Drums, Vessels, PSV, Towers and Tower internals, Columns, Piping removals and replacements, and Furnaces
  • Experience with Maximo / SAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite products
  • Valid CSTS / CSO ticket
  • Valid Driver’s License
