Escort rehabilitation patients via wheeltrans, taxi or ambulance to appointments in the community. Volunteer provides companionship and support to patients who are not at risk to travel away from the Centre without the support of a nursing staff person.
1.Is a friendly person able to socialize with patients who may have physical and / or cognitive impairments.
2. Is comfortable accompanying patients independently to various appointments in the community.
3. Is resourceful and able to adapt to unexpected situations when working independently in the community with a patients.
4.Is physically able to porter.
5.Is available for at least 3 - 5 hours.

Close to bus or streetcar stop.
Minimum hours per time volunteering - does not occur on a weekly basis
Mature individual, who is confident being in the community with a patient without the support of staff.
