Senior Project Manager Access / Intrusion / CCTV

Primary Responsibilities :
Responsible for overall schedule of multiple projects by multiple techs; ensuring work is completed on time.
Directs staff and sub-trades by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals; ensuring project scope of work and schedule are clearly defined and understood.
Arranges kick-off meeting with client and subcontractors to review project and site.
Coordinates electrical, elevator and general contractors along with Locksmiths, equipment manufacturers and distributors.
Provides instruction / coordination to contractors or other sub-trades on installation of equipment, and instruction to clients and installers on systems operations.
Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
Identifies and secures necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget and / or schedule.
Maintains ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust project deliverables to meet client and Fusion needs.
Ensures all work and products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good industry practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements.
Arranges for permits and lifts where required.
Provides ongoing training and mentoring to entry and midlevel technicians to promote employee development.
Surveys job sites with sales staff and clients as required.
Communicates frequently with both office and field staff.
Updates master project tracking sheet on an ongoing basis.
Helps drive the company's environmental health and safety programs at the project level, driving a safety-oriented approach to work.
Assists in Installer reviews.
Participates in regular staff meetings.
A minimum of 5 years' experience installing / servicing Access Control, Intrusion, CCTV systems.
An industry TQ certificate or a minimum of grade 12 education, along with an Electronic Technician's Diploma, basic computer knowledge and drafting courses is required.
Familiar with local codes such as B.C. Building Code, B.C. Electrical Code and ULC standards.
Familiarization with construction site protocols and safety requirements is required
The individual must also have Visio or take a Visio course, have a valid driver's license, understand general building procedures and have good customer relations skills.
Four years' on-the-job learning time is also estimated.
Competent in the use of computer software applications used for project control and administration, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be proficient in English (written and spoken).
