Internally titled : QA Engineer

Role Summary

As the QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of our software adheres to company standards through the usage of testing technologies and processes.

You will be working in an exciting environment with software applications that enable eCommerce, order management, warehouse fulfillment, work order management, data transformations, and integrations to our ERP and CRM systems.

In this role, you will positively contribute to the success of every core business function at Eminence and will be continuously offering new challenges and opportunities for success.

You will report directly to the Lead Software Developer.


  • Implement structured testing that ensures functionality and identifies deficiencies
  • Develop automated tests
  • Develop best practices and standards to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Develop and execute test scripts for our eCommerce website and internal systems
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate test scenarios
  • Proactively conduct manual exploratory testing
  • Create well-written detailed bug reports
  • Create test plan documentation
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and quality assurance best practices
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software development and testing
  • A degree in computer science or similar is preferred
  • Experience with Selenium (or similar)
  • Knowledge of programming languages : Python, and C#
  • Understanding of RESTful and Web APIs
  • Experience working with Jira or other bug tracking tools
  • Proficient with Linux and Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with automated testing platforms and writing test plans
  • Knowledge of SQL databases, preferably MySQL and Microsoft SQL
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and web development concepts
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
