Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Communications Specialist, responsibilities include :

  • Management of day-to-day activities on external channels with an emphasis on driving audience engagement to positively grow studio awareness and reputation.
  • Development of a rich variety of content including blogs, social engagement, correspondence and thought-leadership pieces targeted to specific audiences.
  • Creation of engaging social media content (including the corresponding image creation)
  • Creation and management of ads / promotions on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to help grow studio image and attract the best talent.
  • Creation of analytics reports detailing reach and engagement; develop recommendations and best practices for future content and campaigns.
  • Supporting the Communications Specialist to implement a variety of campaigns
  • Monitoring of trends in content marketing, social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Supporting regular events planned in-house as well as some off-site locations
  • Documenting events as basis for social media events
  • Duration : Contract 6 months

    Training :

    Degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and / or Journalism or related area of study

    Relevant Experience :

  • Experience in a similar role would be considered an asset
  • Experience in a creative industry would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in the tech or gaming industry would be considered an asset.
  • Essential Skills :

  • Strong written communications with the ability to adapt and target content for diverse audiences.
  • Results-driven approach to and understanding of content creation and engagement principles for web and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn).
  • Knowledge of social analytics platforms, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Graphic design, video content creation, and photography experience and interest is an asset.
