We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Intake Specialist to join our Residential Coordinator Services based out of Surrey and New Westminster, BC.

Build on your education and experience as you :

  • Follow evidence-informed practices when supporting clients with desired outcomes; receives program referrals; assesses and screens clients based on established criteria;
  • matches clients to appropriate residential mental health & substance use beds.

  • Prepare, maintains, records and charts information, and documents occurrences, referrals, contacts, and progress notes all in accordance with established policies.
  • Maintains client records by methods such as documenting client assessments, interventions, evaluations, modifications and client goals.

    Prepares and maintains statistical data, correspondence, reports and other documentation as required.

  • Impart clinical expertise through collegial sharing of information with other members of the team regarding issues such as clinically complex situations, enhancing relationships with providers and referral agents.
  • Provide clinical expertise in the application of standards and evidence-informed processes for the client population accessing residential treatment services at the local, regional and provincial level.
  • Participate in program planning, development and evaluation by attending meetings and in-services and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • To join the organization we require you to have :

  • Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work
  • Three (3) years recent related experience providing treatment and case management to individuals with problematic substance use or mental health issues in a residential mental health & substance use setting
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle
