Fixed-Term Warehouse Worker

    Fixed Term Worker Warehouse - Toronto Retail Service Centre Yonge St & Lakeshore Blvd

  • We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable people who thrive in a busy process oriented warehouse environment performing Distribution Centre functions including Shipping, Receiving, Order Picking and direct customer service.
  • Please note that the pay rate is $15.46 / hour and there is no guarantee of hours. The term of employment is from May 2018 up to January 12, 2019.

  • Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor or foreperson, the incumbent(s) will receive / replenish stock for the Private Ordering department by receiving product shipped from the Toronto Retail Service Centre;
  • input basic shipment data into computer or RF scanners and then transport products to storage keeping unit via MHE and retrieve product for laboratory analysis.

  • Assemble customer product orders by reviewing customer invoice copy / dock summary sheet provided by the Private Ordering office staff;
  • report discrepancies on invoice / discrepancy reports and deliver assembled product order to loading bay and / or customer vehicle.

    Ensure quality and effective customer service to LCBO clients by providing assistance and quick and friendly service, as well as loading client vehicles, upon request, in a safe and courteous manner.

    Perform inventory management functions; update computer systems; assist Warehouse Foreperson in training / orienting new staff.

    Perform other duties as assigned. Employee(s) must perform duties in a conscientious manner and adhere to LCBO policies and practices, Occupational Health and Safety, WSIB and WHMIS guidelines.

    Qualifications :

  • Duties are very physical in nature and require heavy lifting of stock (on occasion up to 22kgs / 48lbs) for prolonged periods and may involve the use of powered material handling equipment.
  • Accordingly, applicants must be capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.

  • This position requires the ability to speak and read English as well as proficiency in working with numbers normally acquired through a completion of a Secondary School Education.
  • These abilities will be tested as part of the hiring process.

  • This position requires shift work as well as working Saturdays.
  • Applicants will be required to provide an original criminal record check, at their own expense, prior to commencing work with the LCBO.

    The criminal record check document must have been issued no more than six (6) months prior to first day of employment. Criminal record checks can be obtained by attending your local police department or by using an online platform provided by a third-
