aware and actionable decisions.

As a Security Consultant you will review threat intelligence analysis and co-ordinating the analysis of cyber threat intelligence peers in TELUS / Customer teams.
Your findings will help our customers become more resilient to future cyber-attacks.
As a Security Consultant you will manage the intelligence life cycle to produce and disseminate relevant intelligence products to consumers by :
Researching, investigating and testing complex cyber-attack scenarios and applying tools such as the cyber kill chain to aid with communicating findings
Utilizing statistical or data-driven techniques and spot opportunities for using them to derive new insights from unusual data sets
Conducting industry research monitoring to analyze global and industry events, threats and anomalies
Perform advanced threat research and investigation on key risks including but not limited to tracking malicious global operations and targeted attacks over a variety of communication channels
Developing and applying assessment methodologies to determine the relevance of an intelligence finding to an organisation
Leading impact assessments and analysis from global threats and provide actionable recommendations
Analyse malware using techniques including sandboxes and reverse engineering to list out specific IOCs and TTPs
Correlate threat data from various sources to prepare assessments and cyber threat products for audiences ranging from SOC to C-suite
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
With 2-3 years’ experience in security event analysis experience including your understanding of common threat mitigation options and ability to identify options to mitigate threats
Regarded for your exceptional communication skills and your ability to explain security threats and impacts and resolution options to stakeholders
Known for your result-driven mindset and ability to take initiative and ownership of complex issues, concepts, and tasks through to resolution
Respected for your knowledge of tools and technologies associated with network surveillance, data acquisition, and event correlation and advanced analytics such as : Security Information and Event Managers (SIEM) Unified Threat Management (UTM) Network Anomaly Detection (NAD) Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
Appreciated for your understanding of ingress and egress network traffic security monitoring practices including knowledge of application and network layer attacks and associated countermeasures
Recognized for your awareness of security infrastructure, network architecture, vulnerability management, risk management drivers and ITIL based process standards
With a post-secondary degree
1-2 years’ experience in data analytics
Knowledge of dark web and OSINT / HUMINT sources and techniques to generate relevant target, and validated threat intelligence
Industry recognized security designations such as SANS GIAC, or CISSP
Bilingual, fluent in verbal and written English & French
