Westland Insurance Group Ltd is growing their team and is looking for a Commercial Account Manager based at our Head Office in beautiful South Surrey, BC .

This individual will be responsible for managing a select group of clients and is ideally suited for an experienced broker who provides the highest level of client service.

    In this role you will be responsible for :

  • Retention of existing accounts
  • Pursuing new business opportunities
  • Managing accounts, identify opportunities to cross-sell and offer new coverage
  • Delivering exceptional client service resulting in high level of retention
  • Mentor peers and support the professional growth of the team
  • Submitting underwriting information as required, follow up to ensure timely action can be taken on quotes and existing policies
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through timely communication via phone, letter, email and in person
  • Providing support to clients through the claims process
  • Collecting premiums on outstanding accounts receivables
  • Here’s what you bring :

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum CAIB designation
  • Minimum 5 years' Commercial Insurance experience
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, an active listener
  • Ability to explain complex information in a simple manner
  • A natural ability at building authentic client relationships
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Adaptable when priorities change throughout the day based on client needs
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion are important qualities
  • Strong work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
