OBJECTIVE : under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, to perform specific accounting duties and work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and enhance organizational effectiveness.


  • Accounts payable.
  • Bank deposits.
  • Managing accounts receivable system.
  • Receiving incoming mail.
  • Ordering and monitoring office supplies.
  • Various types of filing, including prescription filing.
  • Assisting with mid-month and month-end nursing home billings.
  • Customer Service includes setting up payment options.
  • Notifying customers and the manager of delinquent accounts.
  • Counting Till and Float.
  • Processing payments and responding to customer inquiries about accounts.
  • General office duties.

  • Previous bookkeeping experience is an asset. This is an entry-level role.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of internet and email use
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written format
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in the workplace.
  • Work steadily under deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative, direction, and prioritize
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position the successful candidate must complete a Criminal Record Check.
