Education Professional Job Description
We have exciting upcoming opportunities for SmartPlant P&ID Administrators. As the subject matter expert, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) environment supporting the client requirements.
You will represent the client and will be responsible to ensure the client end users, vendors and engineering contractors execute using SPPID per client standards and procedures.
As such you will be required to liaise closely with client end users, vendors and engineering contractors representing the client through all phases of the project.
Responsibilities may include :
Develop SPPID documentation and procedures (user manuals, administrator manuals, design tool instructions, and work process procedures)
Configure SPPID environment to adhere to the client’s engineering standards and data requirements, which includes symbology, catalog configurations, and reporting templates
Creation of reports, drawings, templates and / or documents within SPPID
Provide user support to Operations & Maintenance and Project resources
Provide support for bulk data extraction data retrieval, various SPPID reporting functionalities, management of users, groups, domains, user profiles, user training, software license renewals, etc.
Provide support to ensure that SPPID related deliverables are updated in SPPID as part of the facility owner’s Management of Change (MOC) process
Identify potential areas where policies & procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed
Manage and maintain backup systems
Contribute to documentation including detailed procedures, standards and work instructions and will also be expected to contribute to the Owner’s quality management plan by developing and executing data quality audits and resolutions
Identify opportunities to reduce overall costs and improve end user performance
Manage education and training for new Users and end users to ensure they become proficient with SPPID
Interface with all additional related client software such as SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), Smart 3D, SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL), SmartPlant Owner(SPO), CAD / MicroStation or similar vendor software systems
