The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Sinai Health System (SHS), in partnership with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto, is currently recruiting a full-time physician with a demonstrated excellence and subspecialty training in quality improvement and patient safety (QuIPS) research.

Effective start date is September 1, 2020, or a mutually agreeable date.

The successful candidate will have subspecialty training in quality improvement and patient safety research, and will be involved in the clinical care of women in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Responsibilities will include participation in teaching of trainees at all levels, as well as providing innovative program development and participating in quality improvement and patient safety research activity.

The incumbent in this role will develop educational tools for medical students, and teach residents in the Ob-Gyn and Family Practice programs.

The physician will participate in the hospital call roster for general obstetrics and gynaecology.

Ideally, this candidate will also have an expressed interest and training in colposcopy, with a particular focus on vulvar disease.

Qualified applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the RCPSC, must hold an MD degree, and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment with the University of Toronto’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will promote and demonstrate excellence in professional practice and conduct.
