About This Opportunity
Canning Medical Clinic is seeking a part-time physician to join this rural practice with one other physician. The clinic is closely affiliated with the physicians at Mud Creek Medical in Wolfville.
The successful candidate is expected to participate in inpatient care at Valley Regional Hospital (VRH), help support the after-hours clinic in Wolfville, or offer support in other avenues during after hours to care for the patient population.
VRH opened its doors to patients in 1992. The hospital serves the people of Kings and Annapolis Counties, and provides specialty services as a referral centre for the Annapolis Valley and other areas of Western Nova Scotia.
Located in Kentville, VRH is a 137 inpatient bed facility that provides inpatient, outpatient, and satellite care to approximately 80,000 residents.
Canning is a village that offers historic charm and warm community atmosphere. It is located near breathtaking, unique destinations such as The Bay of Fundy (one of North America’s Seven Wonders), Blomidon Provincial Park , Kingsport beach, Houston beach, The Look Off , Scots Bay , Cape Split , and more.
