The Foreman is responsible for coordinating the efforts of site construction workers and ensuring the project is completed correctly and on time.
Ensuring Health & Safety guidelines and company policies and procedures are adhered to. The Foreman assists workers with issues and concerns and may be required to mentor apprentices within their trade.
A qualified candidate should have proven experience as a construction Foreman, in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Ontario Building Code.
Proven ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints, an understanding of grades and layout, good communication skills, able to report effectively, problem-solving abilities, physical endurance and stamina are essential.
