liquids to become their newest Store Manager. They are currently in the process of opening up their new vape shop and are seeking the right candidate to control and monitor the growth and branding of the business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Store Manager’s primary objectives will consist of directing and monitoring the day to day operations of the store, while placing emphasis on the implementation of the businesses’ core sales strategies to drive revenues.

The Store Manager will develop and teach practical sales tactics to sales staff to proactively improve the customer’s buying experience.

He / she will conduct training for new Store Associates, foster a healthy and compliant atmosphere by enforcing Occupational Health and Safety Standards, in addition to other significant employment laws (Smoke Free Ontario Act 2018), and will utilize his / her advanced industry and product knowledge to train new staff and continually benchmark sales.

Core Responsibilities Will Include :

Liaising with the Store Owner and carrying out his / her requests.

Marketing store products via advertising, sales promotions, and display plans; evaluating operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.

Delegating day to day duties of store staff, monitoring performance and conduct, and regularly following up on their work results.

Interacting with product suppliers / vendors while maintaining healthy business relations.

Handling escalated customer issues and complaints with tact and professionalism.

Overseeing the recruitment; supervision; training and performance management of store staff.

Meeting the store’s financial objectives by preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing discrepancies and initiating corrective measures.

Preserving effective operations by initiating, directing, and enforcing operational policies / procedures.

Effectively training store staff on vaporizers, the various classes of such devices, the technology behind the different types of devices, the various functions and components of each device type, and any or all accessories that accompany devices (including e-liquids).

Ensuring compliance with relevant legislations i.e. Smoke Free Ontario Act 2018, OHSA, ESA , understanding how the various statutes impact the business, and maintaining strict compliance by training store staff on best practices.

Creating and maintaining pertinent business information such as, employee files, financial records, HR policies, etc.

Controlling inventory and merchandising of products, conducting audits.

Initiating sales promotions and strategic marketing plans in collaboration with the Owner.

Providing exceptional leadership to store staff by generating team motivation, providing positive feedback, and staff engagement.

Incorporating a loss preventions strategy and training staff on its enforcement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Will possess a minimum Grade 12 education or GED.
  • Must be 19 years of age.
  • Have a clean criminal record.
  • Must Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with the vast majority of electronic vaporizers and their accessories.
  • Must be confident with troubleshooting and tinkering with vaporizers and atomizers (especially RDAs and RTAs).
  • 2-3 years of managerial experience in a customer service / retail focused environment.
  • College certificate / diploma an asset.
  • Valid First Aid / CPR Level C + AED certification.
  • Must be able available 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    The Store Manager will be required to have an advanced understanding of both, older, and more contemporary vaporizer devices and equipment, various types of e-

    juice / e-liquid, and all the accessories which may accompany such products. Because electronic cigarettes and vaporizers have gained popularity at substantial rates, the technologies within such devices have continually evolved.

    Therefore, in order to function efficiently within this role, the incumbent must not only have an extensive knowledge of the wide range of device options, but hands-

    on experience with them as well.

    As a result, the successful candidate should be able to :

  • Educate customers on the most suitable products for beginners and an easy to use, non-complex solution.
  • Explain the differences between Convection, Conduction, and Sub-Ohm vaping, and how to physically set up and tinker with the various classes of devices.
  • Explain the various brands and types of e-liquids, the difference between VG and PG and the pros and cons of variable mixture concentrations (i.e. 50 : 50 vs 80 : 20)
  • Explain the different nicotine levels in e-liquids, which strength is suitable for which device, and which nicotine strength is most suitable for a customer based on their previous smoking / vaping habits.
  • Educate customers on the extensive types and classes of tanks, atomizers / clearomizers / cartomizers, coils, chargers, and batteries.
  • Understand and educate customers on the different classes of vaporizers and the unique technologies behind each of them, including but not limited to VV / VW and Temperature Control Mods, Mechanical Mods, Pen Style or Disposable Vape Pens (starter kits), and rebuildable vaporizers - RDA's / RTA’s.
  • Explain how to assemble and maintain coils and wicks for rebuildable devices.
  • Educate novice users on coil resistance, Ohm’s Law, interactions of VG and PG.
