FRENCH IMMERSION TEACHING VACANCIES School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) is currently accepting applications for French Immersion teachers to work on-call in the Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton areas.

Necessary Qualifications : possession of a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate; university training, or its equivalent, relevant to the posted position;

and, successful teaching experience relevant to the posted position.

Successful applicants must have training and experience in French Immersion and be

bilingual. Familiarity with French Immersion language instruction and familiarity with the BC Curriculum, Student Performance Standards and, the BC Early Learning framework would be an asset.

Please note that prospectiveemployees, new to School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky), must agree to undergo aCriminal Records Check, as failure to do so will be grounds for refusingemployment.

Priority will be given to applicants of Aboriginaldescent.

All teachers must be prepared to use a varietyof technology for planning, attendance monitoring, communicating classroominstruction and reporting, and be prepared to support the School ImprovementPlan and District goals through Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing andthe Four Blankets of Resilience.

Using a behavioral approach inthe interview process, we are seeking qualified candidates with proven successin these areas.
